Join us on Saturday, September 17, during Park(ing) Day weekend, for a walking tour of downtown Detroit focusing on some of Detroit’s more “historic” parking lots. We’ll show you the historic buildings that once graced these lots, before they were bulldozed to store cars.
After the walk, we’ll wrap up with some fun and easy collective action to help push for common-sense parking reform to preserve our downtown, promote affordable housing and urban amenities and a build a more sustainable future for our city.
Date: Saturday, September 17, 2022
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Place: Depart from Campus Martius (look for people with Detroiters for Parking Reform logo tees)
Cost: Free, but donations are gladly accepted.
